The growth of the Mainland’s energy companies in Brazil could be replicated in other markets, including Africa, with technical and logistical support from Portugal, the People’s Daily reports.
The Mainland newspaper quotes Portugal’s Economy Minister Manuel Caldeira Cabral, who spoke at last weekend’s presentation of an artwork by Joana Vasconcelos, called Pop Galo.
Mr Cabral, in the Mainland to attend the Boao Forum for Asia, said the presentation of a piece of art represented the desire of both countries to strengthen co-operation in trade, investment and cultural affairs.
Meanwhile, Portugal has planned more tourism promotions in the Mainland and expects Chinese arrivals to triple in three years, Mr Cabral says.
Portuguese newspaper Público reported earlier this month there were 183,000 Mainland tourist arrivals last year.
