Revenues from tourism in Angola’s Moxico province reached 19.79 million kwanzas (US$119,463) last year, up by more than 6.75 million kwanzas from 2015, Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency quotes numbers provided by Lutete Moniz, head of the hotel and tourism provincial department in Moxico.

Ms Moniz was quoted as saying a bigger investment in tourism could further increase revenues.

Moxico welcomed 1,875 tourists last year, including 745 international guests.
