Portugal’s unemployment rate stood at 10.5 percent in the third quarter, down by 0.3 percentage points from the previous quarter, according to Statistics Portugal.

The statistics bureau says the unemployment rate in the third quarter was 1.4 percentage points lower than the same time last year. There were 549,500 people unemployed at the end of September, 9,800 fewer jobless than in the previous quarter.
