Mainland cities are interested establishing twinning arrangements with Angolan cities, Angop reports.

Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Vice-president Lin Yi made the comments while meeting the province of Luanda’s Deputy Governor José Manuel Cerqueira, the Angolan news agency says.

The report quotes Ms Lin as saying setting up twinning arrangements will strengthen Sino-Angolan ties. China will invite Angolan provincial officials to meet provincial and municipal leaders in the mainland.

The report quotes Mr Cerqueira as saying Luanda is interested in forging links in several areas with a mainland province.
