China, Portuguese-speaking Countries trade tops US$6 bln in Jan

Trade between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries topped US$6.158 billion in the first month of 2016, a decrease of 24.38 percent from a year earlier and an 18.69-percent drop from the previous month, according to data from China Customs.


In January, the value of China’s imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$3.807 billion, down by 3.69 percent year-on-year and 20.75 percent sequentially.


China sold goods worth US$2.351 billion to Portuguese-speaking Countries, a decrease of 43.90 percent from the prior-year period and a 15.12-percent fall from the previous month.
