The University of Macau and the University of Porto in Portugal concluded on Thursday an agreement for collaboration in the teaching of Portuguese and of science and technology.
The deal was signed by Maria de Fátima Marinho, Vice-Rector of the University of Porto, and Rui Martins, Vice-Rector (Research) of the University of Macau, during a visit by a delegation from the Portuguese institution, the University of Macau said in a press statement.
Both universities said they hoped to “make greater contributions to teaching and research by making use of their unique strengths,” the statement added.
Medical research and Portuguese language education would be the key areas of their collaboration, it added.
