Embraer's E195-E2 jet, the largest of the E-Jet family, received type certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
"We are excited to have both the E190-E2 and E195-E2 certified by the CAAC. In this way, we have laid the groundwork for making progress with sales in the Chinese market. The jet is complementary to the ARJ21 and C919, planes already manufactured in China. Together, the models offer more sustainable, efficient and flexible alternatives for Chinese airlines, meeting the demands of the air transport market," says Arjan Meijer, President and CEO, Embraer Commercial Aviation.
According to Embraer, China is approaching carbon neutrality. The E195-E2 is the most efficient and sustainable aircraft in its category and the jet could well fit the need.
