The Mota-Engil Group, in which China Communications Construction Company holds more than 30% of the capital, made a profit of 41 million euros in 2022, an increase of 69% year-on-year, according to the company’s results released on the 1st of March.

EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) in 2022 was 541 million euros, surpassing the mark of 500 million euro for the first time, says the construction company. The company also points out that in 2022 it recorded the best commercial performance in its history, reaching record levels of commercial wins and reaching 12.6 billion in the order book, more than double compared to 2020.

In business area, the group highlights the 57% annual growth in the engineering and construction business, impacted by growth in Africa and Latin America.
