With the aim of strengthening the partnership between Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC) and the China Media Group (CMG) and strengthening relations with the country, the director-president of EBC, Hélio Doyle, received on the 17th of March the president of CMG Latin America, Zhu Boying.

In 2019, CMG and EBC signed a cooperation agreement for program exchange, content sharing, joint production, cooperative transmission, staff training and technological exchange. The contract is valid until November 2024.

Doyle highlighted the interest of the Brazilian government in this cooperation with China and stated that it is in the interest of the EBC to receive and distribute content. “It is in our interest to receive new and diversified content directly from China and to be the main distributor of Brazilian information, in addition to showing all the diversity of our country to the world”, he explained.
