On the 22nd of March, Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues signed a protocol of intentions with the largest Chinese manufacturer of wind turbines, Goldwind Energias Renováveis, for the implementation of an industrial unit of wind turbines. The R$ 150 million investment of Goldwind will generate around 1,100 jobs.

“Our expectation, based on this term of cooperation and relationship, is the generation of jobs and income, and the strengthening of our image as a country with strong potential for renewable energy,” said the governor.

On the same day, Jerônimo received representatives from the Chinese company Sinoma Blade, which manufactures wind blades. This is another important step for Bahia to increase its role in the production of renewable energies.
