The Macau Chief Executive will visit Portugal, Luxembourg and Brussels between the 18th and 27th of April and will be in Portugal until the 22nd of April, with meetings planned with the Portuguese President, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the Prime Minister, António Costa, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, João Gomes Cravinho.
Ho Iat Seng said that he would present in Portugal the Deep Cooperation Zone between Guangdong and Macau, created on the neighboring island of Montanha (Hengqin), to publicize investment opportunities.
A delegation of 50 local businessmen will accompany the Chief Executive on his first trip abroad after the pandemic. After Ho Iat Seng’s departure to Luxembourg, the delegation of businessmen will travel to Porto and visit several companies in the region to reinforce economic and commercial cooperation between Portugal and Macau, said the statement.
