Geraldo Alckmin, vice-president and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, and Lyu Ze Xiang, president of China Energy International, met on the 29th of April in São Paulo. The stated-owned company plans to make investments of US$10 billion in renewable energy generation in Brazil over the next few years.
According to the president of the Chinese company the investments, which are expected to generate different jobs in Brazil, will focus particularly on the wind energy market, transmission, fertilizers and production of green hydrogen.
Alckmin points out that he received the president of Energy China, Lyu Ze Xiang, to discuss investment opportunities in renewable energy in Brazil, as it has a blessed climate and territory, while Energy China has capital and technology.
