The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) celebrated the results of the action in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), during SIAL China, one of the most important events of the food sector in Asia, held between the 18th and 20th of May in Shanghai (China).
According to surveys carried out with participating companies, more than US$ 48.4 million in business deals were closed in poultry and pork exports from Brazil during the event alone. From the negotiations established at SIAL China, the exporters’ expectation is that sales will approach US$ 260 million in the next 12 months.
“The result in business reflects part of the success of the participation in SIAL China. It was a great international image action, with presentations and the reinforcement of a partnership that has already become traditional for the two nations,” evaluates ABPA’s director of markets, Luís Rua.
