Brics approves financing for infrastructure investments in Aparecida de Goiânia

On the 20th of June, the Credit Committee of the Novo Banco de Desenvolvimento (NDB), known as Brics, announced the approval of financing of US$120 million, claimed by Aparecida de Goiânia, for investments in infrastructure, education, environment and other.

The president of the international institution, Dilma Rousseff, highlighted to the delegation from Aparecida that is carrying out a trade mission in China, that the Aparecida de Goiânia project will have priority over ten other proposals from different nationalities and will be the first approved under her management.

“With this funding, we are going to turn Aparecida into a construction site. The priority projects are the asphalt paving of all inhabited streets in our city, the construction of bridges, viaducts, four schools, four parks and 13 municipal early childhood education centers”, says the president of Aparecida.

The New Development Bank (NBD) was created by the Brics, the bloc of emerging economies that brings together Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, and is headquartered in Shanghai, China.
