The newly opened exhibition centre on Hengqin Island is displaying goods from Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries, said a Hengqin official.
Ye Zhen, Deputy Party Secretary in the Hengqin New Area, made the remarks on the sidelines of a seminar held in Macao on Tuesday, local Chinese-language newspaper Macao Daily News reported.
With the support of Macao companies, the Direct Sales and Experience Centre of Imported Consumer Goods in Hengqin is showcasing about 3,000 products from Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries to Mainland China residents, said Mr Ye.
Mr Ye said he believes the centre “can become a platform for Macao small- and medium-sized enterprises to act as a bridge between the Portuguese-speaking Countries and the Mainland markets”.
Chinese media reported that the centre opened at the end of last month with a floor space of over 600 square metres.
