Portuguese company Mota-Engil has signed a contract worth €207.3 million for the construction of the first phase of the Chinese company CALB's gigafactory in Sines, a project that strengthens industrial co-operation between Portugal and China.

A vessel from China docked last week in Salvador, capital of the state of Bahia, carrying tonnes of equipment and metal structures intended for the start of construction of the Salvador-Itaparica Bridge. Brazil's Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, André de Paula, recently took part in a bilateral meeting in Beijing with the Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), Sun Meijun. The Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre (CCCM) will host, in December this year, the sixth edition of the Annual Conference of Macao Studies, an initiative usually held at the University of Macau. The meeting will take place between 2 and 4 December, under the theme "Macao as a Hub", with the support of the Macao Foundation.
