On March 31, the State University of Bahia (UNEB) presented the pedagogical projects for the undergraduate degrees: Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language and Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language Translation to representatives of the International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) and China. The meeting took place in the Rectory's meeting room on the university campus in Salvador.
The partnership is the result of an articulation with GCUB, sewn during a mission to Beijing, China, in September 2024. The rector of UNEB, Adriana Marmori, was part of the delegation that took part in the World Chinese Language Conference and was instrumental in establishing the partnership.
"The installation of Chinese factories in Bahia has intensified the demand for translation, interpreting and degree courses," said Ana Qiao Jianzhen, Chinese director of the Confucius Classroom at the Fluminense Federal University.
