Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Representatives at Forum Macao attend reception marking 20th anniversary of the Office of the Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao SAR

Representatives from the Portuguese-speaking Countries to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao attended – at the invitation of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao SAR – a reception celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR.


The event was held on December 5, and also aimed to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao SAR.


The Chief Executive of the Macao SAR, Mr Chui Sai On, said in a speech during the event that the city had achieved over the past 20 years a consistently-high level of economic stability, continuous improvement in the quality of life of its population, and social stability and harmony. He added that such achievements were closely linked to the support provided to the Macao SAR by the Central Government and the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
