The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation Between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, took part in the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 China (Macao) Traditional Medicine International Co-operation Forum.

The event was held under the theme “exchange, innovation, and promotion of health care”. During the event, the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Mr Chang Hexi, signed – on behalf of the Permanent Secretariat – a memorandum of co-operation with the Guangdong-Macau Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Industrial Park.

The memorandum is aimed at promoting international co-operation in the field of traditional medicine between Mainland China, Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries. The agreement is also aimed at promoting Macao’s “platform” role, by supporting the building in Macao of a Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
