The Working Group for Promoting Agricultural Co-operation under the Summit for Commercial and Industrial Development of Jiangsu Province, Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries will hold its first meeting on June 2, in Macao.

The meeting will promote the role of Macao as a platform linking China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. Participants attending the meeting will also discuss the Programme of Activities for 2016 and 2017. This includes: the creation of a liaison and coordination mechanism; a strengthening of information sharing; an expansion of technical exchanges; and collaboration to complete key development projects.

The main objective of the meeting is to create new business opportunities and promote co-operation in agriculture between China, Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
