On December 10, the National Confederation of Workers in Educational Establishments of Brazil (Contee) met with the Counsellor for Education of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, Wang Zhiwei. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen ties and exchange experiences on education, social policies and the challenges faced by workers in the sector in both countries.
The meeting reinforces the importance of international dialog for strengthening educational and social policies. The general coordinator of CONTEE, Gilson Reis, said that this type of partnerships is essential for building public, free and quality education for the benefit of workers and students in Brazil.
Wang Zhiwei was very interested in the agendas defended by Contee, with emphasis on the proposals for regulating distance learning (EAD).
During the meeting, besides presenting their respective agendas and challenges, both institutions had the opportunity to learn more about their causes and establish an agenda for future collaboration. Next year, this dialog is expected to deepen, with new meetings to strengthen the exchange of experiences and build joint proposals.
