The trade between Angola and China reached 10.6 billion dollars from January to June this year, representing growth of 4.6% in relation to the transactions recorded in the same period last year, said Zhang Bin, the Chinese ambassador to Angola.

At a press conference held in Luanda, the ambassador Zhang Bin said that China mainly exports electronic equipment and machinery to Angola, such as surgical products and some light industrial items. From Angola, China imports oil, mineral products, food, drinks and other light industrial products.

For the next few years, China intends to negotiate some concrete projects in Angola, within the scope of the financial line with 51 billion dollar for Africa, announced during the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
