The largest Chinese operator is expanding in Brazil. China Telecom is growing year on year, and by 2024, it wants to buy local companies in order to expand the range of services it offers. This is the company's country manager in the country, Denis Monteleone, in an interview with Tele.Síntese.
China Telecom is working on developing local services with a mobile partner. "We're already talking to an MVNO to help us launch an IoT platform in Brazil, and by the middle of the year we'll be offering it to the agricultural market," he said.
With an eye on local providers, China Telecom is also increasing its capacity to connect them to content providers and content distribution networks (CDNs). "We are doing this to deliver a network prepared to meet end-user demand. Our network has just been prepared with DDoS protection, which will be delivered at the end of April. And we've managed to monitor the customer's network, which will also be available in April."
