Chinese CPDFund delegation visits Cape Verde to explore investment opportunities

From 22 to 24 January, Cape Verde will host an official visit by a delegation from the China-Portuguese Speaking Countries Cooperation and Development Fund (CPDFund), led by director-general Li Na, as part of the promotion of economic and trade cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.


According to a note sent by Cape Verde's delegate to Forum Macau, Nuno Furtado, the main aim of this visit is to strengthen co-operation between China and Cape Verde, with special emphasis on investment co-operation and identifying business opportunities in the country's strategic sectors.


During the CPDFund delegation's stay, meetings are scheduled with various government departments and entities, including the MNECIR's Directorate General for Economic Cooperation and Development, the National Directorate for Industry, Trade and Energy, Cabo Verde TradeInvest, entrepreneurs from Santiago (Sotavento Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Service), the Ministry of the Sea, the Ministry of Tourism and Transport, Banco de Cabo Verde, Electra S.A., Cabo Verde Telecom, and the Technology Park.
