China and Angola will improve co-operation on the prevention of endemic diseases, the Angolan news agency Angop reports.

Angolan Secretary of State for Cooperation Ângela Bragança and the Vice-Minister of the China General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, Chen Gang, met in Luanda on Tuesday.

Mr Chen was quoted saying the Mainland wanted to share its experience in preventing epidemic diseases at border checkpoints, seaports and airports.

Co-operation would be helpful to Angolan communities, Ms Bragança was quoted as saying, adding that annual scholarships for Angolan citizens from the Mainland could be extended to healthcare.
