The news agency, citing figures given by the Brazilian Agriculture Ministry, says that in the corresponding period of last year China bought 44.1 million tonnes or 77.5 percent of the soybeans Brazil exported.

The report says Brazil exported 64.6 million tonnes of soybeans in the first eight months of this year, the most in the first eight months of any year yet.
