Cabo Verde Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva has said Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has written to him describing Sino-Cabo Verde political and economic relations as good, Lusa reports.

The Portuguese news agency quotes Mr Correia e Silva as saying Mr Li noted in his letter that several projects in Cabo Verde backed by China had been completed or would soon be completed.

The report says the People’s Republic of China and Cabo Verde established diplomatic relations in 1976.

China has since then backed the construction of the buildings housing the Cabo Verde legislature and government, of the Cabo Verde national stadium and of a maternity hospital, Lusa says.
