Cabo Verdean Health Minister Arlindo do Rosário is attending the s2019 Traditional Medicine International Cooperation Forum, which begins today in Macao, Inforpress reports.

The Cabo Verdean state-owned news agency says the Cabo Verdean Health Ministry and the operator of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao – located just outside Macao, in Hengqin island – agreed in May to cooperate more closely in traditional medicine.

Consequently, Cabo Verdeans were among over 30 Africans given training at the park in July, a group that also included technicians from Angola and Guiné-Bissau, Inforpress says.

A written statement issued by the park operator says it is putting on the two-day conference in Macao in collaboration with the Macao government and the arm of the Chinese state that oversees Chinese traditional medicine, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Sharing achievements in traditional medicine is the theme of the conference, which has attracted 700 people from Mainland China, Macao, Southeast Asia, Europe and the Portuguese-speaking world, the park operator says.
