The Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock forecasts that the value of Brazilian farm output will grow by 3 percent next year, three times faster than they expect it to grow this year, as exports of meat increase rapidly and the current grain harvest promises to be the biggest yet, Reuters reports.

The news agency says the confederation forecasts that the value of the output of Brazilian beef will grow by 22 percent next year as the commodity reaches new markets.

The report fails to give the values forecast.

China is the biggest buyer of the food Brazil exports, and this year it increased its imports of Brazilian chicken, beef and pork as African swine fever cut its domestic output of pork, and it accepted its first imports of Brazilian fresh fruit and dairy produce, the report says.

The confederation opened an office in Shanghai this year to spur sales in China by Brazilian farmers, Reuters says.
