A road show of technology that may interest Chinese investors displayed the wares of 15 Brazilian start-ups during its stop in Shanghai, the Shanghai Daily reports.

The newspaper says the Brazilian technology start-ups showed off what they could do, such as projecting holograms around real objects and using artificial intelligence to diagnose Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

The report quotes a Brazilian trade official, Carlos Pan, as saying the road show will take the representatives of the Brazilian start-ups to the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou and to Hong Kong.

Mr Pan said the number of users of smartphones and the Internet in China meant the country had huge potential for sales by Brazilian enterprises.

Latin America is a promising market for Chinese investors, and Chinese venture capital firms are scouring it for investment opportunities, the Shanghai Daily quotes one Chinese investor who attended the road show, Ted Sun, as saying.
