A Chinese presidential special envoy to Angola has expressed his government’s commitment to strengthening Sino-Angolan relations, Xinhua reports.
The Chinese state-run news agency says the envoy, Chen Yuan, representing Chinese President Xi Jinping, expressed the commitment at the inauguration of Angolan President João Lourenço.
The report quotes Mr Chen as saying China is willing to share with Angola what its experience of governance has taught it, and to advance the Sino-Angolan partnership through friendly exchanges and practical co-operation.
Angola attaches great importance to its relations with China and would welcome more Chinese investment in Angola, Xinhua quotes Mr Lourenço as saying.
