Angola’s Vice-President Manuel Domingos Vicente has thanked the Mainland for supporting rebuilding and economic development in Angola, the Xinhua news agency reports.

Mr Vicente made the remarks while meeting State Councilor and Defence Minister Chang Wanquan in Luanda on Thursday. He said the two countries enjoyed a firm foundation for friendly, bilateral co-operation, which was important to maintaining global peace and stability.

Mr Vicente said Angola valued the “Belt and Road” initiative and was prepared to co-ordinate its national development with the framework of the infrastructure development programme.
