Brazil’s Consumer Confidence Index in September rose by 1.1 percent in month-on-month terms, buoyed by positive expectations about inflation and unemployment, the Brasil news agency reports.

Compiled by the National Confederation of Industry, the index reached 103.1 points last month, representing a 7.1-percentage point increase over the same time last year.

The index of consumer sentiment has seen several improvements over the past six months.
