Trade in merchandise between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$76.48 billion in the period from January to September 2015. It represented a 25.45 percent decline year-on-year, according to data from China Customs.

Portuguese-speaking Countries sold goods worth US$47.81 billion to China in the first nine months of 2015 – a drop of 31.06 percent year-on-year. The value of China’s merchandise exports to those countries reached US$28.67 billion in the same period, down 13.76 percent year-on-year, according to Chinese official data.

The total value of merchandise traded in September between the parties topped US$8.64 billion, down by 5.62 percent from the previous month.

The value of China’s merchandise imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$5.82 billion, down by 4.61 percent month-to-month, according to Chinese official data. China sold goods to those countries worth US$2.82 billion in September, a decline of 7.63 percent compared with August.
