The Government of East Timor has hired accounting services firm EY Portugal to create a promotional guide targeting foreign investors interested in the archipelago, Portuguese news agency Lusa reported.
The guide underscores the commitment of TradeInvest Timor-Leste – the nation’s investment and export promotion agency – in using “foreign investment as a lever for economic growth and sustainable development of the country,” the Government said in a statement.
The document, which would be launched this year at a forum in East Timor, could help promote the country to potential foreign investors, the statement added.
The guide would provide information including: the location and geography of East Timor; its accessibility to international travellers and traders; its economy; its legal and tax systems; potential industries for inward investment; and reform measures announced by the Government.
