The Angola government has sent the draft law on the state budget for 2015 to the National Assembly, according to news agency Angop.
Edeltrudes Costa, the responsible minister and chief of the Civil Office of the President of Republic, delivered the document to the head of the parliament, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.
The government is forecasting gross domestic product to grow 9.7 percent in 2015, while inflation next year will reach 7 percent. Calculations in the document assumed a crude oil price of US$81 per barrel. Oil is a major export of Angola.
Taking into account that oil prices have slipped in the international market, Edeltrudes Costa said 2015 would be a year for Angolans to contain spending, Angop reports.
Manuel Nunes Júnior, head of the 5th Commission of parliament, said the debate of the draft budget for 2015 would now move to the relevant commissions of the National Assembly.
