Trade between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries hit US$77.42 billion in the first seven months of 2014, an increase of 5.12 percent from a year earlier, according to data from the Chinese General Administration of Customs.

Chinese imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries were up 6.81 percent year-on-year in the first seven months of the year, reaching US$52.79 billion. China sold goods and services to Portuguese-speaking Countries worth US$24.63 billion during the period, up by 1.68 percent from a year earlier.

Total trade value for the month of July reached US$12.74 billion, growing by 12.43 percent from the previous month.

The value of China’s imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries grew by 9.05 percent month-on-month to US$8.57 billion in July, while exports to those countries reached US$4.16 billion, up by 20.11 percent from the previous month.
