The Latin American International Agrochemical Exhibition kicked off on the 2nd of August, with some 40 Chinese agrochemical companies participating in the show. The event was co-organized by the China Pesticide Industry Association and the China Compound Phosphate Fertilizer Industry Association and the Brazilian side.
Tian Yuzhen, Deputy Consul-General of China in São Paulo, said this series of events is expected to help promote in-depth communication between Chinese and Brazilian enterprises and continuously expand the scale of trade in agricultural products. The Consul-General said the highly complementary agricultural cooperation between China and Brazil has become an important driver for the rapid growth of bilateral trade.
According to the statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil, in the first half of 2023, Brazil's agricultural exports reached a new record high, totaling 82.804 billion U.S. dollars, of which exports to China were 30.685 billion U.S. dollars.
