The Chinese Ambassador to Angola, Cui Aimin, has called for Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in the tourism and agricultural sectors of the African nation, Angolan news agency ANGOP reported on Monday.

He made his remarks at the end of his recent trip to Angola’s northern Malanje province, after meeting with its Governor, Norberto dos Santos.

“Malanje has a great potential for [Chinese] investment and co-operation… [it] should attract investments within the framework of the existing Sino-Angolan relations,” Mr Cui Aimin was quoted as saying.

He also said Chinese residents in Angola should help facilitate the friendship between the two countries “in a more active way”. The successful co-operation between the two nations relies on the active exchanges between the people, he added.
