The Chinese company Huawei signed a memorandum of understanding with the Secretary of Education of the Government of the State of Minas Gerais and another with the National Council of Institutions of the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education (Conif). Both establish joint training actions in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for teachers and students of public educational institutions.
“The state is the first in Brazil in which the Huawei ICT Academy goes beyond university walls to qualify high school teachers so that they can impact students, improving the quality of education in Brazil”, says, in a note, Victor Montenegro, manager of Talents at Huawei Brazil.
The partnership aims to promote the training of students in different professional areas, in addition to qualifying 70,000 teachers from the state network and providing training to young people in accordance with the current demands of the job market.
