The operator specializing in Internet of Things (IoT) NLT Telecom and China Mobile International (CMI) have entered into a partnership in the Brazilian market for the establishment of private networks, initially alongside the segment of regional providers.
The proposal is to enable customized networks for B2B use, combining small structures, mobile equipment, fixed towers, edge data centers, and frequency bands authorized by Anatel. In the model, the two companies would be responsible for the entire process of a private network, such as the implementation of the project, regulatory processes, equipment, software, and network operation.
In one of the first initiatives of the agreement, in partnership with the provider CNX Telecomunicações, NLT and CMI are deploying a private network in southern Bahia. This network has cellular network and LoRa network.
