The Chinese car manufacturer GWM (Great Wall Motors) is finishing the construction of one of the first dealerships in Criciúma. It will be inaugurated at the end of the month.
According to the store manager, Teodósio Júnior, the investment in the construction already reaches R$ 50 million and will generate five job openings, in addition to outsourced employees.
“We will have 100% coverage throughout Brazil. There are 28 dealer groups that cover all the states in the federation”, revealed GWM’s CEO in Brazil, Oswaldo Ramos.
Next year, the company should start national production in the factory that was bought from Mercedes-Benz, in Iracemápolis, in the countryside of São Paulo. “The factory is already ready, but it is being adapted to produce an SUV here in the country,” said Ramos.
