On the 14th of June, the Venâncio de Moura Diplomatic Academy (ADVM) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Confucius Institute of the Agostinho Neto University (UAN) for the creation of a classroom dedicated to teaching Chinese language and culture in ADVM facilities.

ADVM will be the second Angolan university, after UAN, to officially offer Chinese language courses with the support of the Confucius Institute in Angola.

The Chinese ambassador to Angola, Gong Tao, who spoke at the ceremony, expressed his optimism in relation to the Memorandum of Understanding, stating that it will give renewed impetus to Sino-Angolan cultural cooperation. He believes this partnership will facilitate deeper bilateral cooperation and contribute to building a closer community with a shared future between China and Angola in the new era.
