The Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Ms Xu Yingzhen, met on September 26 with the Secretary of State for Public Health of Angola, Mr José Manuel Vieira Dias da Cunha. The meeting followed Mr Cunha’s participation in the 2019 Traditional Medicine International Cooperation Forum (Macao, China).

The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao. It was also attended by Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao Mr Rodrigo Brum.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on a number of matters, including: Forum Macao’s role as a multilateral cooperation mechanism; innovative cooperation models in the field of traditional medicine; and collaboration in training of human resources and production and sale of medicines.

The two sides also discussed: making use of Macao’s role as a cooperation platform between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries; promotion of cooperation between China and Angola respectively in infrastructure, investment, trade and tourism; and how to widen cooperation between China and Angola by making use of the framework offered by Forum Macao.
