On 11 October, the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) (hereinafter referred to as “Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao”), Ji Xianzheng, received a delegation from Shenzhen Municipal Government which was led by Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice-Mayor of the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government as well as Party Secretary of Bao’an District Committee, Wang Shourui. During the meeting, both parties discussed how to make full use of Macao’s role as a platform for co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, how to further strengthen exchanges and co-operation between Shenzhen and Portuguese-speaking countries in various areas, including the maritime economy, innovation and entrepreneurship, the automotive industry, and how to promote the development of investment and trade between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Portuguese-speaking countries.
