As part of the 9th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, the exhibition “Painting, Transparency and Illusion”, from Macau artist Filipe Dores, opened to the public on October 14 and runs until November 12, at the Gallery in the Residence of the Portuguese Consulate.

Filipe Dores was born in Macao and graduated from the Macao Polytechnic Institute. He uses watercolours and ink in his paintings, via traditional Chinese techniques. Some of his works were exhibited at the “204th Exhibition – Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours”.

The Gallery’s exhibition in the Residence of the Portuguese Consulate illustrates examples of beauty and tranquillity in Macao through the eyes of a local young artist.
