Organisers of Boao Asia Development Forum (Macau) 2017 visit Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao

Some of the organisers of the “Boao Asia Development Forum (Macau) 2017” – including Co-President Mr Mok Chi Wai; Vice President Mr Pang Chuan; and representative Ms Chan Sao Chai – visited on September 14 the headquarters of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao).


During the visit, the group exchanged views with representatives from the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao – including Secretary-General Ms Xu Yingzhen; Deputy Secretary-General Mr Ding Tian; and the Coordinator of the Support Office, Ms Teresa Mok – on ways to strengthen Macao’s role as a trade and services co-operation platform and how to further exchanges in order to support the Boao Asia Development Forum (Macau).


Mr Mok, from the Boao Asia Development Forum (Macau) 2017, said the main purpose of the visit was to introduce to representatives of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao the latest developments regarding the organisation of the event, due to take place in November. He stressed the organisers’ desire to strengthen co-operation with the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao – taking advantage of Macao as a platform for co-operation between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries. Such co-operation would help support the organisation of the Boao Asia Development Forum (Macao) 2017 and intensify its exchanges with Portuguese-speaking Countries.


The Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Ms Xu Yingzhen, welcomed the visiting delegation and said she hoped its event would be a success. She gave to the guests a brief introduction about Forum Macao and its activities, underlining the importance attached by the body to co-operation with different partners. She also pledged her commitment to supporting the Boao Asia Development Forum (Macao) 2017.
