First edition of China-Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) International Fair for Trade in Services to start on Sept 3

The first edition of the China-Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS China-Brazil) will be held from September 3 to 11. Its goals are to promote further pragmatic cooperation, and deepen economic and commercial exchanges between China and Brazil, as well as with other Portuguese-speaking Countries. The Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao is supporting the fair: the event more specifically aims to establish a public platform for international trade in services, making available new business opportunities and new models for cooperation, in order to promote sustainable development and high-quality collaboration.


CIFTIS China-Brazil is being held under the theme of “Innovation-Driven Trade in Services”. It will feature an online forum, an online exhibition, and an offline exhibition.


The online forum will include a range of seminars, respectively covering five topics: smart healthcare; the smart city; cultural trade; technical services; and e-commerce. Each seminar will feature governmental representatives, and experts, who will exchange insights and join question-and-answer sessions. The seminars will take place via videoconference, broadcast live worldwide through several major platforms (Kuaishou, YouTube, and Weibo).


The online exhibition will feature three-dimensional, virtual-reality exhibits, offering exhibitors new ways to promote their projects and goods.


Beijing’s China National Convention Center will host the offline exhibition, showcasing the latest trends in trade in services, including China’s recent achievements in this field.


CIFTIS China-Brazil is organised by: the Chinese Embassy in Brazil; the Chinese Consulate-General in Rio de Janeiro; the Beijing Municipal People’s Government; the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; the Government of the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil; and the Government of the State of Espírito Santo, Brazil. Supporting entities include the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao; the China Council for International Investment Promotion; and the Union of Beijing Business Services.
