In 2024, the China-donated Integrated Center for Technological Training (CINFOTEC-Huambo) provided 1,958 young people for the labor market, with skills in the areas of Information and Communication Technology, Electricity, Renewable Energies and Mechatronics, Mechanics and Production and Metrology.
The director of CINFOTEC-Huambo, Geraldo Pambasange, said that the number of trainees had exceeded expectations, since, after its inauguration in January 2024 by the President of the Republic, the center had planned to train 1024 young people in one year, and had reached an additional 934 trainees, which is 91% higher than expected.
The director said that in 2025 they will offer a three-year Mechatronics course, with one and a half years in Angola and another equal period in China, as part of the cooperation between the two countries.
