Unicamp and Shenzhen University sign cooperation agreement

On December 5, the rectors Antonio José de Almeida Meirelles, from Unicamp, and Mao Junfa, from Shenzhen University (SZU), in China, signed a memorandum of understanding under which the two institutions will be able to start academic collaborations, joint research development, as well as exchanges of teachers and students.


The rector of Unicamp said that the two universities have many similarities, for example, offering subjects in the same area, operating hospitals and adopting a similar approach to acting in the areas of technology and innovation, expressing that the Unicamp is willing to achieve this partnership with SZU.


The Professor Osvaldir Taranto, from the Unicamp's Executive Directorate for International Relations (DERI), who organized the visit, said that the two universities will work to find where they can carry out collaborations, or establish a specific partnership.
